However, against Arsenal, it was a tough game entirely for the Europa League champions as they struggle to have an headway in the game.

Arsenal, generally don’t have a good record against Spanish teams, having suffered 11 defeats with only three wins but Mikel Arteta made it another great Champions League night for the fans to remember.

The Gunners dominated proceedings in the game going forward but had to waited till the stoppage-time of the first half to drop the curtain raiser.

Gabriel Martinelli scored in 45+4th minute to give Arsenal just before the first half break.

Few minutes into the second half, Arsenal looked set to cruise to a comfortable win as Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead for the Gunners in the 53rd minute.

Sevilla then fought back with grit and finally nailed a lifeline goal five minutes after Arsenal doubled the lead.

Gudeji scored for the home side to reduce the deficit before the hour mark.

The last 30 minutes of the game turned barren as Arsenal maintained the 2-1 lead till the final whistle to run out with victory after the final whistle.
