Barcelona have confirmed one coronavirus case in their defender Samuel Umtiti ahead of their match against Bayern Munich, MySportDab reports.
The Spanish giant today confirmed that Samuel Umtiti has tested positive for the coronavirus.
A few days ago two of Atletico Madrid players were tested positive amid their clash against Rb Leipzig.
The player has now be put in quarantine for the safety of other Barcelona players and staffs.
And he has now joined fellow defender Jean-Clair Todibo who was recently confirmed as another case.
Although they’re without showing any symptoms or health problems since testing positive.
The player is out injured so Barcelona won’t miss his absent as he won’t be playing for them tonight.
There have been reports of Umtiti going out of loan as he has struggled for fitness and form at Camp Nou.

Barcelona Issues Official Statements:
“After the tests carried out on Thursday first-team player Samuel Umtiti has tested positive for Covid-19,”
Barcelona revealed in a statement released on the club’s official website today Friday August 14th.
“The affected person is asymptomatic, is in good health and , is in isolation at home.
“The club has informed the relevant sporting and health authorities.
It has also traced all the people that have been in contact with the player in order to carry out tests.”
