Manchester City have returned to Premier League top after coming from behind to secure a dramatic 3-1 win over West Ham United in London, MySportDab reports.

The Premier League champions went into the game against a high-flying David Moyes-led team.

West Ham have had a great start to the season, winning three straight matches after the opening weekend draw against Bournemouth.

The Hammers humbled Chelsea 3-1 in London Derby before grabbing two consecutive away wins against Brighton and Luton.

Coming up against Manchester City tested the depth of the club to cling onto their brilliant start to the season.

Manchester City went into the match with a 100% record win in all their four opening matches of the season.

They sat top of the Premier League table but were temporary displaced by Liverpool, who grabbed a dramatic comeback win over Wolves at Molineux to climb to the Premier League top for the first time in 16 months.

City needed a win against West Ham to return to the summit of the table.

As expected, City dominated proceedings in the game from the start, welding more possession and pressing West Ham deep down their half.

The Hammers were able to hold off the visitors but could make a meaningful attacking attempt early in the game.

It was still a dicey game for City coming against the in-form David Moyes side but with Pep Guardiola back to the dugout after undergoing surgery, the Cityzens were swiftly in control of proceedings.

While Ederson lazied at the back without an attempt from West Ham, Manchester City forced Alphonse Areola to make series of saves early in the game.

However, City suffered a blow against the run of play in the 36th minute when James Ward-Prowse buried a nice header from Coufal’s cross to give West Ham the lead.

The goal was enough to send West Ham into the lead at the first half break.

Manchester City maintained a strong grip on the game in the second half ramping up efforts to equalize but West Ham maintained a strong defensive display to keep the score margin.

A minute into the second half, Jeremy Doku scored to level the scores for City before Bernardo Silva completed the turnaround with a goal to give the away side the lead.

Erling Haaland wrapped up the win with late strike to make it 3-1 as City grabbed a comeback win to maintain their perfect start and return to the top of the table.
