Portugal destroyed Luxembourg 9-0 in their Euro 2024 qualifiers match at home, MySportDab reports.
Diogo Jota scored a brace in the match which saw Cristiano Ronaldo missing out of action for his National team.
Goncalo Inacio and Ramos also added a brace each for themselves in the encounter which was one-way traffic.
The game was a goal-scoring one in which Cristiano Ronaldo did not take part all through and was not on the squad list for the match.
Portugal started the goals scoring in the 12th minute with Bruno Fernandes assisting Goncalo Inacio who made things 1-0.
Another goal was scored by Goncalo Ramos making things 2-0 in the 18th minute in which Bernardo Silva made the assist against Luxembourg.
It was looking perfect with yet another goal that came in from Goncalo Ramos in the 34th minute making the game 3-0 so quickly.
Goncalo Inacio added his second which made things 4-0 in the added time as Portugal headed for the break with a huge lead against Luxembourg.
The second half continued with more goals coming as the home side jetted off with another goal scored in the 57th minute by Diogo Jota to make it 5-0.
A clever one from the Liverpool man was not celebrated before Horta added another goal for Portugal in the 67th minute making it 6-0.
Luxembourg were in no man’s land as they kept getting tanked easily with another goal scored again in the 77th minute by Diogo Jota who made it 7-0 and a brace.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes scored in the 83rd minute of the match which saw the scoreline turn 80 with few minutes to play.
Joao Felix added another goal in the match which made things increase further to 9-0 in the 88th minute of the game.
Portugal was done and dusted as they cruised home with a 9-0 victory which saw Luxembourg cursing their fate all through the encounter.
