Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, is on the verge of ending his four-year tenure at Goodison Park, as Everton and Fulham have reached an agreement for his transfer, MySportDab reports.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the move of the former Arsenal midfielder to Fulham is a ‘done deal.’ Fulham has agreed to a £22 million fee to secure the services of the Nigerian international.

The 26-year-old midfielder is scheduled for a medical later today, with all contracts expected to be finalized before the transfer deadline tonight.

Iwobi’s journey with Everton began in the summer of 2019, shortly after his contributions to Nigeria’s bronze medal finish in the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Although he faced initial criticism for not meeting high expectations and the substantial transfer fee, he has become a significant figure for Everton in the past year and a half.

During the 2022-2023 season, Iwobi featured in all 38 Premier League games for Everton, providing a club-high seven assists.

His vital contributions earned him the title of the club’s Player of the Year, as his efforts helped Everton avoid relegation on the season’s final day.

The move to Fulham presents a fresh challenge for Iwobi as the club aims to secure a top-half finish in the Premier League table.

Additionally, Iwobi will reunite with manager Marco Silva, the same coach who orchestrated his transfer from Arsenal to Everton four years ago.

This transfer signifies an exciting chapter in Alex Iwobi’s career, offering him the opportunity to make a significant impact at Fulham while continuing his journey in the Premier League under familiar leadership.
