Lionel Messi has continued on his prolific career start at Inter Miami as he led Inter Miami to a deserved win over Orlando City in Leagues Cup, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was a Lionel Messi show at the DRV PNK Stadium as the Florida-based club raced to a third win in a row since Lionel Messi joined the club.

The opening minutes of the game saw Inter Miami took charge of proceedings and were set to cruise to a deserved a victory.

After a good early start, Lionel Messi rose to the challenge as he helped Inter Miami land the first punch just 7 minutes into the game.

Orlando City fought back immediately with an equaliser from Araujo in the 17th minute, canceling out Lionel Messi’s early strike.

Inter Miami tried to retake the lead coming across a number of chances but failed as the first half ended 1-1.

Second Half Report

Inter Miami continue to dominate proceedings in the second half looking set to retake the lead.

In the 57th minutes, they fought back into the front after Martinez converted a spotkick to give the side the lead.

Orlando battled to cancel out the lead again all to no avail and were handed a blow to their comeback hopes with a 72nd strike from Lionel Messi.

Messi recorded his fifth goal for the MLS side in style, sealing the win as they ran out with 3-1 win over visitors to grab their third Leagues Cup in a row.

Lionel Messi has now taken his goal tally to five goals in three matches with Inter Miami recording a 100% win since he made his debut for the club.
