Chelsea are currently in talks to sign Neymar Jr from PSG this summer in a shock and sensational move for the player, MySportDab reports.

According to Daily Mail, Neymar has told PSG he wants to leave the club and will be among the high-profile names set to leave the club this summer after Lionel Messi left the club for Inter Miami.

Kylian Mbappe’s future is also uncertain as things stand with the French Ligue 1 champions in a bitter contract standoff with the player.

Neymar’s imminent exit will bring the era of the deadly PSG trio to an end.

Neymar has two years remaining in his PSG contract and was reportedly ready to see off his contract but a tensed relationship with PSG fans seems to have altered the choice of the former Barcelona forward.

Like Lionel Messi, Neymar have had a series of run-ins with PSG fans, especially the ultra wing, who have asked him to leave the club following his long spell on the sidelines due to injury and his overbloated wage offer.

With the deteriorating relationship with the fans, the Brazil international is now set to leave the club.

He was previously linked with a move to the Premier League but MySportDab understand only few clubs could afford the player who was bought by PSG for a record £198m from Barcelona in 2019.

According to RMC, Chelsea are poised to sign Neymar this summer and are currently in talks with the player’s camp for a possible move.

Chelsea’s interest in Neymar is coming when the club is clearing out and overhauling the team to restructuring their spending on player’s wage bill.

However, it is believed Chelsea can still pull as much to sign Neymar with the club’s new owner and financial anchor, Todd Boehly, not ready to buck down on his spending on the transfer market.

Chelsea’s move for Neymar could see the Brazil international reunite with his former manager, Mauricio Pochettino, in London.

Mauricio Pochettino got the best out of Neymar when he was manager of the club from 2022 to 222.
