Chelsea kickoff their preseason games with an entertaining 5-0 smashing of Wrexham in the United States, MySportDab reports.

Ian Maatsen gave a good account of himself in the first half of the match scoring a brace from a wonderful performance.

Christopher Nkunku, Ben Chilwell and Conor Gallagher all made it count in the second half which was a bit slow coming from the Blues.

The game between Chelsea Vs Wrexham started well with the Blues taking total control of the encounter moving forward.

It took the Premier League side just three minutes to get things going after a lovely play saw Nicolas Jackson setting up Ian Maatsen who made it 1-0.

The game continued with some good display going forward in the midfield which were controlled by the young Blues who did exceptionally well.

Ian Maatsen doubled the advantage in the 42nd minutes of the match from another wonderful play which saw him finishing off to make it 2-0 and a brace.

The first half could have resulted in more as the referee cut off a last attack from the Blues ended the first half 2-0 between Chelsea Vs Wrexham which was brilliant.

They came in so a lot of difference in the second half which saw Mauricio Pochettino bringing in a number of new faces on the pitch.

Chelsea scored in the 81st minutes to make the scoreline 3-0 thanks to a deflected strike from Conor Gallagher which hit the back of the net.

The match progressed further with Christopher Nkunku brilliant goal in the 90th minutes which saw him going past the goalkeeper to make it 4-0.

Ben Chilwell lovely chipping above the goalkeeper made it 5-0 in the additional time as the Blues came to life during the closing stages of the game.

Chelsea made sure they smashed Wrexham in the match which ended with 5-0 after 90 minutes of football between them in the United States.
