The USA beat a very motivated Vietnam Women 3-0 to kick off their FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign, MySportDab report.
The match also saw Alex Morgan missing a penalty which could have increased the result further.
Sophia Smith was the most valuable player as she pushed through to score a brace in the encounter played early.

The encounter kickoff with a lot coming from the United States of America Women National team who had more quality.
Vietnam Women were solid enough in the early minutes of the game which saw them doing more than enough to hold down play and not concede.
The USA Women had to patiently wait until the 14th minutes to score the opening goal which came from Sophia Smith to make it 1-0.
More opportunities came in the encounter and Alex Morgan missed a 44th minutes penalty which could have increased the scoreline as they carried on.

The second half wasn’t too much entertaining as the goals wasn’t more than just one scored all through the 45 minutes.
There was a lot of work being done by Vietnam who were holding back on everything and tried to keep themselves from conceding more goals.
The USA Women couldn’t get anything to add to their advantage as the game hit one hour with the scoreline staying the same between them.
There was more desperate chances until the 77th minutes which saw Lindsey Horan making it count and was able to make the scoreline 3-0.
Vietnam Women couldn’t make anything happen as they lost against the USA 3-0 in the opening game of the FIFA Women’s World Cup going down in Australia and New Zealand.
