Liverpool and Manchester United have suffered a blow in their plans to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele this summer, MySportDab reports.

Dembele’s agent has revealed that his client is unlikely to be leave Barcelona at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has been linked with leaving the Spanish club as the club try to reduce the financial impact of the worldwide CoronaVirus pandemic.

According to reports in Spain, several Barcelona first-team players are up for sale, including Dembele.

However, Dembele’s agent, Moussa Sissoko has spoken about the rumours.

“I don’t think Dembele will leave Barcelona this summer,” Sissoko told French newspaper L’Equipe.

Dembele signed for Barcelona in 2017 from Borussia Dortmund for an initial fee of £96.8million, which could rise to £135.5m.

However, the Frenchman has struggled with injuries at Barcelona and has also previously turned up late to training, addiction to video games.

During his Barcelona career, he has scored 19 goals and provided 17 assists in 74 games across all competitions.

But despite his injury problems at Barca, some clubs have shown interest in signing the youngster.

MySportDab understands that Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested, with the Gunners ready to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer.

Dembele’s contract at Barcelona expires in 2022 and the next transfer window would be best for Barca to get some funds back from what they paid Borussia Dortmund three years ago.

Barcelona’s finances are in a bad situation at the moment due to football’s across Spain and the players have already agreed to a 70 per cent pay cut.

Spanish Football is set to resume on June 11th with Real Betis playing against Sevilla, while other clubs will resume games the following weekend.
