A pitch invader beat the barricades and invaded Portugal Vs Bosnia Herzegovina Euros 2024 qualifiers match and headed towards Cristiano Ronaldo, MySportDab reports.

It was a bizarre scene but somewhat comical as the invader achieved his aim after meeting Cristiano Ronaldo before running away from the pitch.

The yet-to-be-identified man broke security protocol while the game was on and ran straight to Cristiano Ronaldo.

On meeting Cristiano Ronaldo, he hoisted the footie icon into the air and then dropped him again.

Cristiano Ronaldo was not uncomfortable with the invader. After the invader hoisted him to the air, he went ahead and did the Siuu Celebration with the invader before the security officials ran to the spot to whisk the invader away from the pitch.

On sighting the security operatives, who were approaching to hurled him off the field of play, the invader quickly hug Ronaldo and made his way off the field with Portugal flag.

Portugal saw off Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 in the game with Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes and Manchester City star, Bernardo Silva on the scoresheet.

Bruno scored a brace while Bernardo Silva score one to hand the Portuguese a deserved win.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who is Portugal all-time top-scorer, could not find the back of the net in the game.

Ronaldo had a disappointing season with Al-Nassr after they lost the Saudi Pro League title to Al-Ittihad.

But it appears the Portuguese star shelved his torrid first season in Saudi Pro League to accept the pitch invader and does the Siuu celebration with him.
