The Super Eagles of Nigeria claimed a late 2-3 winner against Sierra Leone thanks to Victor Osimhen, MySportDab reports.

The Super Eagles seal their ticket to the next AFCON Championship which will be happening in 2024 after a dramatic late winner from Kelechi Iheanacho.

First Half Report

The first half of the game was good coming from the Super Eagles who dominated play going forward and also made something happen.

Nigeria took the lead in the 19th minutes of the game after so much work done by the home side before Victor Osimhen made it count 0-1 as they continued.

Sierra Leone did a lot from their end but couldn’t stop the Napoli striker who scored another goal to make the scoreline 0-2 and a brace in the 32nd Minutes.

Mustapha Bundu pulled one goal back for the home side which was able to make the scoreline 1-2 in a wonderful finish which came in the 41st minutes between them.

Nigeria headed inside for the break with a 1-2 lead against Sierra Leone who were the second best of both teams going forward for the evening.

Second Half Report

The second half was much better coming from the two Nations who had so much more to do in the match going forward.

Nigeria maintained their lead and also looked to make another goal happen, but they couldn’t hit the target as they carried on with the match.

Sierra Leone couldn’t make anything happen but were doing well enough to make sure they remain in the game despite being behind 1-2 as things carried on.

A shocker from Augustus Kargbo in the 84th minutes of the game made sure the home side pull back level 2-2 as they did everything possible before the goal.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria did what was needed as they beat Sierra Leone 2-3 thanks to a late goal from Kelechi Iheanacho which book the AFCON ticket.
