Manchester United have been confirmed Anthony injury update as the club prepares to tackle City rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils have been grappling with a list of players on the sidelines before the 2022/23 season came to an end.

Marcel Sabitzer was the latest name added to the club’s injury list before the season ended.

Another big name in Manchester United’s squad that has been sidelined is Lisandro Martinez.

The former Ajax defender and 2022 World Cup winner with Argentina fractured his metartasal bone in the Europa League clash against Sevilla and has undergone surgery.

Lisandro Martinez will miss the crunch the FA Cup final clash against Manchester City on June, including Marcel Sabitzer.

Amid the piling injury woes for the Red Devils, the club have suffered a fresh injury blow with star forward, Anthony Martial, also confirmed to miss the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Anthony Martial was injured in Manchester United’s final Premier League game of the season against Fulham.

He suffered a muscle tear in the game, adding to the club’s injury problems.

Now, a club statement released by Manchester United in Tuesday Night has confirmed Anthony Martial has been ruled of the FA Cup Final clash against Manchester City.

The club statement reads;

“Anthony Martial is out of Saturday’s FA Cup Final against Manchester City due to injury.

”The French international strained his hamstring towards the end of Sunday’s 2-1 win against Fulham at Old Trafford.

“‘Assessments have since revealed a muscle tear that rules the 27-year-old out of the Wembley showdown.”

The injury update is coming at the backdrop of a difficult season for Anthony Martial.

He has been struggling with a succession of injuries at Manchester United this season, making only 11 starts for the club.

The niggling injury problem has casted doubt on his future at the club with reports emerging he may likely leave the club at the end of the summer.
