Manchester United have sealed a third-place finish in the Premier League after defeating Fulham on Premier League final matchday, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both sides got the game to a frantic as they mounted pressure on the opponents’ half.

 

Fulham seemed to balance off Man United’s press, frustrating the Red Devils’ effort upfront while maintaining a good attacking drive.

Against the run of play, Fulham took a surprise lead in the 19th minute with Tete opening the scoring for the Marco Silva-led team.

The visitors would have doubled the lead in the 25th minute after Manchester United conceded a spotkick but Mitrovic missed the penalty.

Manchester United ramp up attempts on goal after conceding but were held off by the visitors as the first half winds down.

In the 39th minute, Jadon Sancho struck to restore comeback hopes for the Red Devils as he leveled the scores.

The first half ended squares with both sides settling for a 1-1 draw.

Second Half Report

Manchester United began to force the game more on the visitors as the second half kicked off.

The Red Devils needed a win to finish third should Newcastle snatch an away win against Chelsea.

Fulham were coming under more pressure but were able to maintain their balance while also attacking from counters.

In the 55th minute, Bruno Fernandes put Manchester United in front with a great strike.

The Red Devils held on to the lead despite late pressure by the away side.

The game ended with Manchester United securing a third place in the Premier League, winning 2-1 after the final whistle.
