Ten Hag also blame the players for a low-key performance against the Magpies particularly against Jadon Sancho.

Now, according to Manchester United Evening News, the club is eyeing a summer overhaul that will see six players axed from the squad.

A number of first team players have been named as possible targets that will be affected by the summer clear out.

Leading the list is England international and former Leicester defender Harry Maguire who has struggled for minutes under Erik Ten Hag.

Another top name that is being targeted in the summer clear out is Anthony Martial.

A niggling injury has marred Anthony Martial’s spell with Manchester United this season.

Despite being a top choice forward for Erik Ten Hag, Anthony Martial have spent more time on the sidelines then on the field of play for Manchester United.
