Sevilla smashed Manchester United 3-0 to knock them out of the Europa League with a 5-2 aggregate, MySportDab reports.
The Spanish side could have made it more embarrassing for the Old Trafford club but VAR ruled one of the goals in the first half.
First Half ReportÂ
The game started so well with both teams coming from from a 2-2 draw in the first leg which took place at Old Trafford.
It took Sevilla just 8 minutes to score the opening goal after an error between David de Gea and Harry Maguire saw Youssef En-Nesyri finishing off to make it 1-0.
Manchester United were a bit unbalanced as the game carried on with them missing Bruno Fernandes who was on suspension and Marcus Rashford who started on the bench.
Lucas Ocampos doubled the advantage in the 40th minutes but thankfully VAR chopped off the goal for offside which restored things back to 1-0 scoreline.
The first half of the match ended with Sevilla taking a 1-0 advantage against Manchester United as they both headed inside for the break after 45 minutes.
Second Half ReportÂ
The second half was brilliant coming from the home side who made sure they had everything going as planned by their coach.
Manchester United were the busiest of both sides with them coming in to make sure they restore priorities after failing to make anything happen in the first half.
It wasn’t meant to be as Sevilla doubled their lead in the 47th minutes which another shocker from Loic Bade who was assisted by Ivan Rakitic to make it 2-0.
Another goal from Youssef En-Nesyri in the 81st minutes of the match made sure the Premier League side had no way of making a comeback with the scoreline 3-0.
Sevilla completed the job by making sure they dismantled Manchester United 3-0 to send them out of the Europa League with a 5-2 aggregate in both leg of the quarterfinals.
