Chelsea have so far refused to sack coach Graham Potter despite the club’s current poor run of form, MySportDab reports.

The former Brighton coach is trying to turn the Blues into a force in the long term and owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali believe in him.

Fans have now demanded that Potter be removed from his position as manager after the Blues lost 1-0 at Southampton.

Despite sections of Stamford Bridge angry after the loss, the club’s board remain in full support of Potter and his coaching staffs.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea have long-term factors to consider for keeping him in charge until next season.

While results have been poor, the owners are currently happy with Potter’s work behind the scenes.

His analysis and work rate have been described as ‘excellent’ and decisions to exclude Aubameyang from their Champions League squad is seen as strong.

Fans criticised Potter for resting the likes of Reece James, Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling against Southampton.

Before the game, the coach was informed that James, Silva, Kai Havertz, Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk are all facing serious injury risk.

Fans also believe that Potter doesn’t show enough emotion or anger on the touchline, when things go wrong.

However, he is said to have struck a different tone behind the scenes and has held talks with his players.

There is also suggestions that Boehly and the board members feel should wait until next season before making any decision.

He faced a difficult task of replacing Chelsea’s Champions League coach Thomas Tuchel after the season had started.

Sacking Potter now would make it difficult for the Blues to find a new manager that is good enough for the rest of the season.
