There has been so major moves already and as it seems now, the London club are edging closer to an agreement.

Liverpool, Real Madrid and other top teams were said to be interested in making a move happen earlier.

All interested parties were put away by the release clause which Benfica want to make sure they get all before allowing a move happen.

Chelsea have since jumped on the opportunity of signing the player as they are willing to trigger the release clause for the player.

According to reports reaching us from Fabrizio Romano, the move is now looking likely to happen with the player already approve a move to happen.

Here Is What Was Said:

“Chelsea are now in direct talks with Benfica for Enzo Fernández.

“Chelsea want to offer huge fee instead of paying release clause in one solution.

“Benfica always asked full €120m clause.
Understand Enzo already said yes to Chelsea.

“Liverpool Football Club and Manchester United made no bid, as of now.

Chelsea are exploring every option to make sure they complete a move that will see the player make the switch immediately.

Benfica has also confirmed the talks that are going on concerning a move and they are already looking at the possibility of letting the player leave.

Enzo Fernandez’s contract with Benfica comes to an end in 2027 which is still a long way and that is more reason why he comes with a huge fee which was also triggered after the World Cup.
