Michy Batshuayi score as Belgium claimed a 1-0 victory against Canada at the group stages game for the World Cup, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half gave both teams equally opportunities of making something happen which only one side was able to put it into good use for themselves.
Canada started well going forward as they were presented with an opportunity of taking the lead in the 10th minute, but unfortunately, Alphonso Davies couldn’t make it count against the goalkeeper.
Belgium soon took control of the game as they continued pushing forward looking to ensure they were able to make something happen as they needed the advantage so badly with everything going on.
Michy Batshuayi 44th minute stunner which saw Toby Alderweireld delivering the assist that lead to the goal which immediately turned the scoreline 1-0 as things progressed between both Nations.
The first half ended with Belgium taking a 1-0 lead into the break against Canada which was after the 45 minutes of football which was played between both countries for the night.
Second Half Report
The second half commenced with so much coming from the both of themm who came in looking to make sure something is done to give them the upper hand.
Belgium maintained composure as they made sure everything was being done accordingly to ensure their advantage remain intact as the encounter carried on further between them.
The game entered the one hour mark with Canada still unable to make anything happen despite all their efforts going forward and doing all in their power to get a goal that will bring them level.
The match carried on with the scoreline staying the same as nothing could be done no matter how hard they tried making something happen in the remaining minutes which was tensed.
The match ended with Belgium claiming a narrow 1-0 victory against Canada who couldn’t find a way of coming back into the game despite all the opportunities they had.
