Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is set to hold truce talks win exiled Cristiano Ronaldo today, MySportDab reports.

Cristiano Ronaldo may likely return to the Red Devils squad sooner as talks have been scheduled between him and Erik Ten Hag.

The talk follows the fallout between the highly-rated forward and Erik Ten Hag at Old Trafford, which led to his banishment from first-team training.

Ronaldo was exiled from first-team training and axed off from the Man United squad against Chelsea as punishment for refusing to come on the game against Tottenham.

The 37-year-old angrily stormed down the exit tunnel and left the stadium before the game ended.

That was the second time he had left Old Trafford before the end of a match after he did the same in Manchester United’s friendly against Rayo Vallecano during the preseason.

Erik Ten Hag admitted there will be consequences as he will “deal with” him after this second incident.

Arriving at Carrington the next day after the fallout during Tottenham’s game, Ronaldo was slammed with a fine and banned from first-team training.

It has been confirmed that there will be a clear-the-air talk between him and Erik Ren Hag this morning to settle differences.

Erik Ten Hag will engage the five times Ballon d’Or winner in a talk and will want to ensure that Ronaldo admits his mistake before being reintegrated into the squad.

According to reports, the Man United hierarchy are keen on calling on a truce after the two-day break after the Chelsea game.

If everything goes well as planned, then Ronaldo will possibly return to action in Manchester United’s Thursday Europa League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford.
