Kylian Mbappe scored as Paris Saint Germain were held to a 1-1 draw against Benfica, MySportDab reports.
First Half Reports
The game started well between both teams who came in with hopes of making something good of the first half encounter.
It wasn’t a good start for Paris Saint Germain who were in the euphoria of Kylian Mbappe saga which was making headlines in the early hours before kickoff.
Benfica were not bad themselves as they were able to keep things going and not concede anything with the game entering the half hour mark still goalless.
The goal came in the 40th minute of the match which saw Kylian Mbappe converting from the penalty spot which made the scoreline 1-0 for the home side as it carried on.
The first half of the match came to an end with Paris Saint Germain taking a 1-0 lead into the break against Benfica after 45 minutes of football played between them for he night.
Second Half Reports
The second half was a good one for the away side who were able to make their comeback in the encounter despite all the pressure faced.
Paris Saint Germain kept things going with their lead as they grew more comfortable with pushing the ball around and hoping to add something to their lead which was narrow.
Benfica were able to hit back from the penalty spot which saw Joao Mario converting to make it 1-1 in the 62nd minute of the match which was a good finish.
More opportunities continued to come through but nothing else was seen as both of them did well enough to keep their defense clean but failed to score a goal.
The match soon came to an end with Paris Saint Germain being held to a 1-1 draw against Benfica who were good enough to make a comeback and earn one point.
