French and PSG talisman Kylian Mbappe has clashed with French Football Federation over image rights, MySportDab reports.

The highly-rated French star refused to take part in a photoshoot with other members of the French national team.

He reportedly took the decision as he is said to be unhappy representing certain brands that are sponsoring the French national team.

The two brands that are sponsoring the French national team are Betclic and KFC.

Mbappe is said to be uncomfortable representing betting and fast food brands which made him refuse to join photoshop.

MySportDab understands that Mbappe’s decision to ignore the photo shoot resulted from a long-standing dispute between him and the FFF over image rights.

The dispute climaxed on Tuesday with the 22-year-old PSG talisman refusing to join the photoshoot.

Meanwhile, the French Football Federation has reacted to the incident by releasing a statement.

The FFF confirmed in a statement that they would look into the situation surrounding the image rights of players on the team.

The statement reads;

After conclusive discussions with the French team’s marketing manager, president, executives, and coach the president, the FFF is set to revise the agreement on image rights as soon as possible that binds it to its national team players.

The FFF will soon work on a new agreement to protect its interests and also take into consideration the concerns of the players,” the FFF statement concluded.

Meanwhile, Mbappe has been at the forefront of leading French players to compel the FFF to revise their sponsorship deals for moral reasons.
