Manchester United are now considering a bid for young Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos, MySportDab reports.

The 21-year-old has impressed already so far this season, drawing the attention of United scouts.

He has scored eight goals in 12 matches for the Portuguese club this season.

According to The Sun, United only need to pay £25m to sign Ramos from Benfica and have already started talks with his agent.

United Coach Erik ten Hag might not have funds to spend in the January transfer window, as the Galzer family prefer less activity after spending £230m last summer.

However, MySportDab understands that United still play to sign a new forward with Cristiano Ronaldo likely to leave the club at any time.

Also, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are both currently injured.

Newcastle were monitoring Ramos in the summer window as Eddie Howe’s team tried to sign a striker, but they signed Alexander Isak instead.

At 21, Ramos has scored 20 goals in 59 matches for Benfica across all competitions.

He’s set to leave the Portuguese league and join one of Europe’s top five leagues very soon with his improving performances.

He scored against Liverpool in last season’s Champions League quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, United will try to build on a good run of form after the international break after winning four consecutive matches.
