How Was The Top 3 Voted

The top 15 players who made the initial list of nominees were placed in the race by UEFA’s technical study group.

They were voted for by a jury which includes many sections in the football and media until a final three were made.

All participants of the UEFA Champions League, Europa, and Conference League,e voted, respectively.

Some selected groups of journalists had the opportunity of also voting for who they saw fit enough for the top 3.

Club coaches who made votes were not allowed to pick a player from their team as that would jeopardize the whole process.
