Chelsea suffered another Premier League defeat as Southampton came from behind to beat them 2-1, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both teams made something happen in the first half, which saw more coming from the home side, who made good use of their opportunities going forward.

Chelsea had control in the early stages, which saw them dominate as usual going forward but couldn’t make anything happen from all the opportunities they had.

Raheem Sterling scored the opening goal in the 23rd minute of the game after a pass from Mason Mount was blocked, but the England International turned back and made it 0-1 against Southampton.

The home side wasted no time in coming back into the game, which saw Romeo Lavia’s powerful strike after a poorly cleared corner kick made the scoreline 1-1 in the 28th minute.

The game continued with a late goal from Adam Armstrong, who added another one to make it 2-1 in the 45th minute, plus additional game time.

The first half ended with Chelsea going down 2-1 against Southampton, who made sure they got the job done in the 45 minutes before heading inside for the break.

Second Half Report

The second half resumed with both teams coming out with a different objective to ensure they completed the job after 90 minutes.

Chelsea knew they had extensive work to do coming into the second half, which they started as the better of both teams, looking for the leveler.

Southampton were too solid to break down as the match carried on between them going forward into the final stages which were looking cagey.

Nothing changed as the Saints could have made something happen for themselves but it wasn’t happening as the away side look frustrated in all their attempts.

The game came to an end with Southampton 2-1 Chelsea after 90 minutes of football which saw the home side claiming all the three points.
