Cristiano Ronaldo has now asked to leave Manchester United this summer, MySportDab reports.

The Portuguese has told the Red Devils he will leave if a good offer is submitted to sign him.

The 37-year-old returned to Old Trafford just last summer from Serie A giants Juventus.

He scored 24 goals across all competitions last season, 18 in the English Premier League.

Ronaldo ended the season as the Premier League third top scorer.

Now, According to Sky Sports via The Times, Ronaldo has asked to leave Manchester United with immediate effect.

The Portuguese’s decision leave is based on his passion for playing in the Champions League next season.

United failed to qualify for the Champions League but qualified for the Europa League.

Ronaldo has played in 19 consecutive Champions League seasons since leaving Sporting Lisbon in 2003.

The forward has scored 140 goals in 183 Champions League matches during his football career.

He never played in the Europa League during his career and that’s the only option for United next season.

MySportDab understands that Ronaldo is confident of playing for at least three more years at the top level of football.

Ronaldo wants to spend the end of his career at a club that can match his ambition.

Ronaldo’s love for Manchester United remains very strong.

Therefore, he will only leave if the move will be on the position side for the Red Devils in profit.

Bayern Munich and Premier League rivals Chelsea have also been linked with signing the forward.

However, Ronaldo has a contract with United until 2023 with the option for another year.

United will want the £12.9m they paid Juventus to sign him last summer.

Chelsea could try to bring in the forward to help improve their attack under new owner Todd Boehly.

Bayern will show real interest only if Robert Lewandowski leaves to join Barcelona.

However, New United Coach Erik ten Hag wants Ronaldo to be part of this squad for next season.
