Christian Eriksen has reached a verbal agreement to join Manchester United, MySportDab reports.

The 30-year-old has reportedly agreed in principle to join Manchester United on a free transfer.

Manchester United and Brentford were the two clubs contesting for the signatory of the former Ajax player.

It is believed that Eriksen’s old-time relationship with Erik Ten Hag has been the reason behind his decision to join Manchester United.

Details of the verbal agreement reveal that Eriksen will join Manchester United on a 3-year-contract.

Eriksen spent the second half of last season on loan at Brentford and has been without a club since December 17, 2021.

Eriksen will be Manchester United’s second signing if United proceeds with the verbal agreement.

United have been on the low since the opening of the transfer market without a signing except for the Tyrel Malacia deal.

The team finished in the 6th position with Europa League football on the cards without Champions League.

This has been one of the reasons Manchester United are risking the exit of their star player Cristiano Ronaldo.

Christian Eriksen’s verbal agreement with the Old Trafford club is coming at a time United had appealed for an exit from the club.

Ronaldo has refused to join Manchester United in their preseason training due to family reasons.

Eriksen has reportedly expressed interest in working with Ten Hag in his new plan for Manchester United.

He had trained with the former Ajax manager when he recovered from his cardiac arrest.
