Police are hunting for the thieves that stole £2.5 million worth of cash and jewellery from Marco Verratti’s House, MySportDab reports.

The thieves entered the house on Sunday morning while Verratti and his family were not at home.

After stealing cash, the criminals took watches and jewellery worth thousands.

The police got informed about the break in on Sunday.

The Italian Civil Guard has now launched an investigation into the incident.

The house Verratti was staying is in Cala Jondal in the south of Ibiza on his holiday with family away from football.

Verratti has not made any public statement about the incident as he did not reveal his holiday on social media.

However, his wife Jessica Aidi has taken photos and videos of the family from the Balearic Islands.

Last week, She posted a photo of herself wearing a bikini with the caption ‘Ibiza vibe’.

Former footballer Ronaldo, visits Ibiza regularly with his wife Celina Locks, and they have not yet made any statement.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are both on holiday in the Balearic Islands this summer.

However, Verratti rented out a £250,000-a-week house on the island of Sa Ferradura in the north of Ibiza.
