Chelsea is yet to make anything happen in the summer window despite them having a new owner who has vowed to invest in them getting new players to the team.
The Blues have so far lost the entire defenders they have, with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger already moved elsewhere.
They are also looking at another possible exit with Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta, both plotting a move back to Spain so to enable them to stay closer to their home.
Both players are in list of Barcelona, who has placed offers for them and just waiting for them to give the go-ahead to make paperwork happen.
Matthijs De Ligt could be one of the defensive reinforcements waiting to happen as they are also looking at making other moves happen before preseason.
Jules Kounde is on the list of defenders who are working on making his move happen this summer window, but it won’t be an easy one based on his release clause.
