Manchester United have offered Inter Milan £42m and a key striker to sign Lautaro Martinez, MySportDab reports.

New Coach Erik ten Hag wants a young striker to lead the Manchester United attack next season.

Now, According to Sky Sports, Ten Hag is monitoring Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez.

This tells fans more about the 52-year-old new Man Utd Coach and his plans for Old Trafford next season.

Now, Sky Sports claim that Manchester United offered Anthony Martial in a swap deal for Martinez.

Martial is no longer an important player at Manchester United as his struggles continue on loan at Sevilla.

But Inter have now rejected the offer.

Right now, the Serie A club only want cash to sell the 24-year-old forward.

Martinez has scored 16 league goals in the Serie A this season.

This summer, Manchester United plan on signing a new forward.

Cristiano Ronaldo has done well to score 23 goals across all competitions but he can’t do that every season as he gets closer to retirement.

Edinson Cavani will leave this summer after scoring two goals all season due to injury.

Mason Greenwood remains suspended by the club due to his police case since January.

Now, Martial has lost his form since scoring 23 goals under in the 2019/2020 season.

But Ten Hag wants a player capable of scoring goals and using speed on counter attacks.

And Martinez is a perfect fit, having developed at Inter Milan since he joined in 2018.

Even though, Inter have rejected their swap offer, United can still try again.

The two clubs have a good relationship and have negotiated several transfers in recent years.

Sanchez, Lukaku and Young have all joined Inter from United in recent times.
