Liverpool claimed the Emirates FA Cup title beating Chelsea on penalties 5-6 after goalless 120 minutes, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The Reds started the game in the first half as the better between both teams going forward looking to get the opening goal.
Edouard Mendy was forced to an early safe as Liverpool almost made it count coming forward in an attempt that could have easily resulted in something happening.
Chelsea was able to make some few opportunities of their own as Christian Pulisic could have easily slotted in the ball and he was in a good position to make it a goal but he failed.
Nothing could happen as most opportunities were seen when Marcos Alonso got an opening and put his first touch and let him down as he was already close to the goalkeeper.
The first half ended with Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool as nothing could happen which saw both teams heading inside for the break after 45 minutes played between them.
Second Half Report
The second half was more of the same as the first 45 minutes of the encounter with nothing much seen between them.
Chelsea continued to hang on to the game which was seeing them being pressed by their opponent who had more ball possession.
It was looking good and balanced for Liverpool who was comfortable pressing and finding an opening to make sure they score which didn’t happen.
The scoreline did not change as the game continued without anybody able to make anything out of it as the away side hit the woodwork in the match.
The second half ended with Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool as they soon went inside after 90 minutes of play without any goal.
Extra Time Report
Both teams went out for the first half of the extra time which saw more opportunities being created and nothing to separate them.
It was the same all through the 30 minutes of football players as they headed for penalties where the winner was seen.
The penalty started well until Cesar Azpilicueta missed, and Edouard Mendy saved from Sadio Mane.
Mason Mount failed to score as Liverpool ended up winning 5-6 after penalties played at the Wembley Stadium.
