Manchester United’s new manager, Erik Ten Hag, is plotting a shock move for Chelsea and France midfielder N’Golo Kante, MySportDab reports.
The Dutchman believes that N’Golo Kante can be a great addition to the Red Devils’ squad as they prepare for the next season.
MySportDab reported that Erik Ten Hag is set to overhaul the United squad as he prepares for next season.
Many current United players may not have a place in the new United squad as the former Ajax manager is set to shuffle the United Squad.
Rumours linking Ten Hag and his former Ajax striker, De Jong, have emerged, and it is expected that Ten Hag may likely sign the player.
However, his sudden interest in N’Golo Kante may come as a surprise because the Dutch international hinged on age as a determining factor for his choice of players.
N’Golo Kante is 31 years old and has been one of the most deadly and impressive midfielders for the Blues.
He has a one year contract remaining with the Blues, which could make Ten Hag ready to bid more for the midfielder.
This sudden interest in the player may be linked to the expected exit of many first-team Manchester United players.
Many of these first-team players are midfielders, including Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and others.
MySportDab reported that Ten Hag has immediately called a meeting after winning his last Eredivise title at Ajax.
The meeting was aimed at planning his Manchester United reign and managerial spell as he takes over.
The former Dutch player will also be watching United’s last match of the season against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
He is optimistic about landing N’Golo Kante in the new Manchester United team if new Chelsea owner Todd Boerly gives Tuchel a sizeable transfer budget.
Since joining the Blues, N’Golo Kante has scored 12 goals and given 16 assists for the London based club.
He has made 24 appearances for the Blues this season and has scored 2 goals and had 4 assists.
Kante joined Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016 and has won the many trophies with the Blues.
He has won the FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Europa League, The Premier League and the Champions League.
