Frenkie De Jong REACTS To Manchester United Transfer Interest

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has now reacted to the transfer interest from Manchester United, MySportDab reports.

Frenkie de Jong has confirmed that he is aware of United’s interest in signing him for next season.

How, he has refused to provide more information on the situation.

The Red Devils are now working on a £75m transfer deal to sign De Jong from Barcelona this summer.

New Coach Ten Hag worked with the player at Ajax and United have now made first contact aithn Barcelona about De Jong’s availability.

The Dutch midfielder remains under contract at  Barcelona until 2026.

He joined the club from Ajax in 2019, but his future is now in doubt at Barca.

The La Liga club no doubt have financial problems, and De Jong’s sale could help out the situation.

De Jong is currently on international duty with the Netherlands.

During an interview with Netherlands, spoke about the speculation on his Barcelona future.

“Yes, I know about the Manchester United links,” he told ADSportwereld.

“But the club have not told me anything. So I can only assume that there is no agreement. So then I won’t worry.

“If I have spoken to Ten Hag? I can’t tell you this. I can’t tell you this if it was about another coach. I have spoken with Xavi about next season, but only about football, the squad and how to improve.”

While De Jong is happy at Barcelona, there is no hiding the financial situation at Barcelona.

When asked if he could be one of the players sold, De Jong added: “I understand the situation. But the club have not yet said anything. They have not proposed anything to me for now.

“I do not regret choosing Barcelona, at all. Barcelona is the club of my dreams since I was a kid.”
