He was instrumental in the club beating the Champions of the World 1-4 at Stamford Bridge despite going down in the game.
Newcastle United amongst other top English Premier League sides has been interested in seeing a move happen when the summer window opens.
His market value has increased due to his performance with struggling side Brentford who have been a better team since he joined them.
His contract with the Bees will last until the end of the season when he will become a free agent who can join any team of his choice.
