Goals from Diogo Jota and Fabinho gave Liverpool a 2-0 win against Watford in the English Premier League, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Good start to the game from the Reds who made sure they move forward in numbers in the first half of the encounter between both teams.
Watford started well making sure their defending was on point against a side who thrashed them the first time they played against each other in the English Premier League game.
Liverpool had to wait until the 22nd minute of the game to score the opening goal after an amazing display that saw Diogo Jota finishing off with his head from a cross from Joseph Gomez to make it 1-0 for the Reds.
The game carried on with both of them balancing things against each other coupled with so many goal-scoring opportunities which couldn’t be converted as they approached the final few minutes of the half.
The first half of the encounter ended with Liverpool taking a 1-0 advantage into the break against Watford who were bad themselves after 45 minutes played.
Second Half Report
A good start to the second half with the Hornets coming in looking good as they created more of the opportunities in the early stages but nothing was happening for them.
Liverpool was solid enough to ensure nothing went past them as they carried on with the game making sure nothing went past their defenders to trouble goalkeeper Allison Becker.
Watford continued to miss glorious opportunities which could have landed something good for them as things kept going towards the end with the scoreline still on 1-0 to the home side.
Fabinho doubled the advantage in the 89th minute of the second half after scoring a penalty which saw his side turn the scoreline to 2-0 as things carried on.
The match ended with Liverpool claiming a 2-0 win against Watford after 90 minutes of football played between them which gave them the opportunity of going top of the Premier League table.
