Chelsea suffer their biggest defeat of the season after losing 1-4 to Brentford at Stamford Bridge, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was evenly balanced with both teams unable to make anything happen going forward.
Chelsea dominated the entire half creating different amounts of opportunities going forward but couldn’t make it count at the end of it all.
Brentford were confidence in their dealings which saw them keeping it clean at the back all through the first half.
Nothing happened as they carried on and the first half came to an end with none of them making anything happen as it finished Chelsea 0-0 Brentford.
Second Half Report
The second half of the match was a nightmare for the Blues who were totally put in their place by their opponent.
Antonio Rudiger gave Chelsea the lead in the 48th minute of the game after scoring from a beautiful finish to make it 1-0.
Their lead didn’t last long as Brentford came back hitting them hard with a goal from Vitaly Janelt in the 50th minute to make thing level 1-1.
Christian Eriksen smashed one beating Edouard Mendy in the 54th minute of the encounter which saw the away side taking the advantage 1-2.
Things were looking very bad for the Blues who were unable to concentrate as the encounter carried on pushing forward.
Another goal was scored yet again from the away side in the 61st minutes making it 1-3 after another good attacking display saw the away team breaking down their opponent with Vitaly Janelt making it his brace.
More opportunities kept coming through but nothing happened until substitute Yoane Wissa scored in the 84th minute to make it 1-4.
The match ended with Chelsea losing badly 1-4 at their home ground against Brentford who ripped them apart and spoil their chance of catching Manchester City.
