Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag was confirmed to have held a meeting with Manchester United, MySportDab reports.
He is being seen as the preferred candidate to take over from Ralf Rangnick who will step down as manager.
Manchester United has other names who are being listed for the job, but Erik Ten Hag is being valued as the best man to take over.
The meeting was held earlier by the manager and the Premier League side who will be doing everything to see a move happen.
Although they have sight on Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel who they are hoping to lure away after the club was hit with sanctions and ban.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the discussion that went down between them and the manager has been revealed.

“Manchester United have interviewed Erik ten Hag, confirmed as per @ChrisWheelerDM @SamiMokbel81_DM. Meeting took place this week.
“Man Utd is happy with his English level – but the final decision will involve many factors.
“The board will interview other candidates too.
“During the meeting, Erik ten Hag wanted to hear about Manchester United budget and plans for the future.
“His English level has now improved – ten Hag feels ready to try Premier League experience soon.
“Manchester United will also meet other managers. The process is still ongoing.
Things are beginning to build up well as they will be looking to make confirmation before the summer window opens.
Erik Ten Hag remains the top candidate for the job as Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he is not leaving Chelsea for Manchester United.
The Red Devils will arrange for meetings with other candidates which includes PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino who could be sacked.
Erik Ten Hag has done so much for Ajax that has seen many top clubs looking to make him their manager, and Manchester United will be looking to make it happen.
