Chelsea thrashed Chesterfield 5-1 to book their ticket into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The Blues made sure the first half was a one-sided affair with everything going their way from kickoff until the end of the 45 minutes.
Timo Werner scored the opener in the 6th minute after a good pass from Hakim Ziyech which saw the German making it 1-0 for Chelsea.
Chesterfield were no opponent for the Blues as Callum Hudson Odoi scored a wicked curler from outside the box to make the scoreline 2-0 for the Blues in the 18th minute.
The match carried on with more opportunities as Romelu Lukaku made it 3-0 after another good attacking play saw Lewis Hall making the assist for the wonderful finish in the 20th minute.
More opportunity but nothing was added in the scoreline which was already looking done and dusted for the Blues who were dominating things.
Andreas Christensen added another one in the 39th minute of the match which saw the scoreline turned 4-0 from a brilliant finish coming from the defender.
The first half ended with Chelsea 4-0 Chesterfield as they both headed inside for the break after a good 45 minutes of football.
Second Half Report
The second half started off good for the home side who carried on with their dominance pushing for more goals to be scored.
Chesterfield looked a bit good and composed until they conceded a penalty which Hakim Ziyech scored to make it 5-0 in the 55th minute of the encounter.
Chelsea continued with their dominance while they created more opportunities which could have hit the back of the net but their finish was more.
Akwasi Asante pulled one back in the 80th minute which saw the Blues 3rd goalkeeper finally beaten to make the scoreline 5-1 as it carried on.
The match ended with Chelsea 5-1 Chesterfield as the Blues move into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup with ease.
