Altetico Madrid are now working on offering Manchester United a player-swap deal to sign striker Anthony Martial, MySportDab reports.
Last week Friday, Martial’s agent, Philippe Lamboley confirmed that the 26-year-old wants to leave the club in January.
Martial has fallen down the pecking order at United, and he would speak to the club about it.
The Frenchman has barely played for Manchester United this season under former coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He has only played 10 matches this season with just one goal across all competitions.
Now, According to Eurosport, Atletico Madrid are preparing to offer United a swap deal for Anthony Martial.
Eurosport is not aware of the players that could be offered for Martial but Kieran Trippier might be included in the deal.
Kieran Trippier has been previously linked with a move to Manchester United over the last transfer windows.
Atletico have always been interested in Martial and believe this is the right time to sign him in January.
However, Manchester United’s interim coach Ralf Rangnick has denied reports about Martial leaving the club.
‘I don’t speak with agents online or via press. The player has not yet spoken to us about it,’ he said.
‘After the last training session before the Crystal Palace match, he informed the medical department that he can’t play because the pain in his knee is serious. We can only now wait and see.
‘Maybe he will will train again soon but I have to ask the doctor first. To be sincere, I’m less concerned about what his agent says via the media.’
Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon are also interested in helping Martial seal a return to French football.
