Manchester United is set to get the chance to sign Dani Olmo over Barcelona ahead of the January window, MySportDab reports.

The RB Leipzig player has been linked with a move elsewhere with top clubs in Europe looking to sign him away from Germany.

Manchester United could be his next destination if the latest reports are true as the player was earlier said to be heading to Barcelona.

Dani Olmo

The Old Trafford club has been struggling under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who’s job is under fire as the board is still waiting to make a decision.

Meanwhile, they will be looking to add more firepower to the team even if they bring in a new manager to take over things.

Dani Olmo could move to Manchester United instead of Barcelona, according to reports reaching us from El Nacional.

The 23-year-old began his career in the La Masia academy and had been touted as a primary target for the Blaugrana ahead of the January transfer window in 2022.

However, Barcelona look set to go for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling instead of the RB Leipzig man.

This means Manchester United is poised to swoop for Dani Olmo as they continue to track his situation.

The move could be a good one for them as they need more firepower going forward with Cristiano Ronaldo unable to do all the job due to his age.

The Spaniard could cost Manchester United a lot of money after spending big to bring in Jadon Sancho who is currently struggling to hit the ground running.

Dani Olmo could amount to close to €70 million for the Old Trafford club if they are to make a deal happen with RB Leipzig when the window opens.

This could also mean they will have to offload some players for them to raise funds and create space for Olmo to come in.
