Man United suffer another defeat as Harry Maguire was sent off in a game which saw Watford claimed a 4-1 win against the Red Devils, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was a horrible first-half encounter for Manchester United who was swept aside by their opponent who didn’t give them breathing space.
Watford could have taken the lead in the 11th minute of the first half, but Ismaila Sarr failed to convert from the penalty spot after seeing his effort misplaced.
Man United continued pushing until they finally conceded the first goal in the 28th minute thanks to Joshua King who benefited from Emmanuel Denis’s assist to make the scoreline 1-0.
The game continued with both teams creating several opportunities which none could go past the goalkeeper as things looked a bit balanced.
Another goal in the 44th minute from the home side saw them increase their advantage to 2-0 as Ismaila Sarr scored the second after missing a penalty earlier in the match.
The first half ended with Watford 2-0 Man United as they both headed inside for the break with an advantage over to the home side who were clinical.
Second Half Report
The second half was a different game as the Red Devils came in hungry looking to get themselves back in the game after a bad first 45 minutes played.
It looked calm for Watford who made sure things were still in their control with the lead intact as they approached the second 45 minutes calmly.
Man United had to make a couple of changes which saw them bringing in Donny van de Beek into the game which changes things a bit as the pressure was on the home side.
Cristiano Ronaldo brilliantly set up Van de Beek who finished off neatly to give the Old Trafford club a goal which turned the scoreline 2-1 in the 50th minute.
Things got worst for the red devils as Harry Maguire was shown a second yellow card in the 69th minute leaving them to 10-man which made the game more difficult.
Joao Pedro scored another goal in the 90th minute plus which made things 3-1 after an amazing breakthrough which increased the lead.
Emmanuel Denis sealed the win for the Hornets with a late strike in the 90th minute plus additional time which made the scoreline 4-1.
The match came to an end with Watford thrashing Man United 4-1 to add more problems for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who could be finally sacked by the club.
