Leeds United is nearing an agreement with Kalvin Phillips for a new contract that could jeopardize his move to Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
The midfielder is currently linked with a move to Manchester United and Manchester City who are both looking to sign him next summer window.
Kalvin Phillips is committed to Leeds United as the club is looking to use that to their advantage to extend his contract which could a move impossible.
The midfielder saw his career taking a big turn last season where he was exceptional for Leeds United who gained promotion to the Premier League.
His performance earned him a regular play in the Three Lions starting lineup in Euro 2020 where they finish second place losing to Italy in the final.
Interests are already pouring in ahead of the next transfer window which opens in January, and Leeds are looking to tie him down with a new deal.
His current value on the market is €30 million and it could skyrocket if a new deal comes through between him and the club.
The player agent confirmed his is nearing a new deal with Leeds United who are set to confirm everything before making an announcement.
His agent told @JPercyTelegraph:
“I can only see a positive outcome. Kalvin’s desire is to stay at Leeds and there is a real willingness from all sides to make it happen.”
This could mean that Manchester United and City will have to spend big to be able to sign Kalvin Philips from Leeds United.
They can also hope a new deal fails to happen so they can sign him for less with his value still at €30 million which can see a deal go through easily.
