Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller both scored as Germany came from behind to beat Romania 2-1, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half wasn’t a good one for the Germans who failed to make anything happen as their opponent pushed them aside.
Romania took an early lead in the 9th minutes after an outstanding teamwork play saw Ianis Hagi converting from his opportunity to make the scoreline 0-1 as it carried on.
Nothing could be done by Germany who had dominance but their final finishing was very poor and couldn’t give them the equalizer they needed.
It was looking like another game which might not go the way of the Germans who continued the encounter finding a breakthrough for the leveler.
Things ended in the first half with Germany 0-1 Romania as they both went inside for the break with the visitors taking a slender advantage.
Second Half Report
A good start to the second half of the encounter saw the home side fighting hard to make a comeback which was needed badly by them.
Sergei Gnabry 52nd minutes goal saw Germany finally getting the equalizer they were looking for after a good assist from Marco Reus to make it 1-1.
The game continued with Romania as the second best which saw more coming from the home side than it was from them as it match carried on.
Another goal came in the 81st minutes and this time it was Thomas Muller who scored the second to make it 2-1 with his taking the much needed lead.
More coming as the game progressed with opportunities being created between the two teams who couldn’t add anything else.
The match ended with Germany taking all three points and a 2-1 win against their opponent Romania in the FIFA World Cup qualifications match for Qatar 2022.
