Belgium national team coach Roberto Martinez is being eyed as possible replacement for Ronald Koeman as Barcelona manager, MySportDab reports.

The Spanish giant have been struggling this season and they will be looking to make some changes in the managerial position.

Roberto Martinez has already been contacted to take over from Ronald Koeman as the new Barcelona manager.

This season has been very bad for the club who saw Lionel Messi leaving them after a new contract couldn’t be offered to him.

Antoine Griezmann also left on loan to Atletico Madrid due to the club looking to bring down their wage cap which was on a high.

Ronald Koeman have struggled to produce results since the season kicked off and he is set to be sacked.

The Belgium manager could move to Camp Nou as soon as next month if everything is set right.

Barcelona have spoken to Roberto Martinez about him becoming their new manager, according to report reaching us from Goal.

The Belgium manager is Barcelona choice after they decided to dispense with Ronald Koeman at the first opportunity.

They are so keen on Roberto Martinez and are willing to wait until after he leads the Red Devils to the UEFA Nations League finals in October before making the move happen.

Roberto Martinez likewise wants to move to Barcelona, and has informed the Belgian FA about his intentions to make the switch happen as soon as possible.

The move could happen anytime soon as the club are already fed up with Ronald Koeman inability to make things change.

Barcelona currently are off the top five position on the table following their goalless draw last might against Cadiz.

Ronald Koeman was almost sacked earlier this season but luckily he escaped it, but now it looks like he won’t be running away from the hammer.
