Cristiano Ronaldo scored two late goals to break another record as highest scorer for Country as they beat Republic of Ireland 2-1, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report

Portugal started the game brightly as they dominated things pushing forward against the Republicans who had to defend hard.

The second half was a different ball game as the Portuguese came out as a different side with more firepower up front as they were able to make things happen.
The Republic of Ireland was okay doing all the defending as long as their lead remains intact and nothing going past their solid defense.
It was more coming from Portugal who threatened more with hopes of them getting the equalizer which was proving very difficult and frustrating.
Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo masterclass saw him leveling the match back to 1-1 in the 89th minute after a nice build up from play saw him taking care of things.
He wasn’t done yet as he made it his brace in the 96th minute of the game added time which saw the scoreline turned 2-1 after a remarkable finishing from him.
Cristiano Ronaldo is now International leading goal scorer after his brace which saw the match ending with Portugal 2-1 Republic of Ireland in the World Cup qualifiers.
