Erling Haaland scored a hat trick as Borussia Dortmund beat Wehen 0-3 in the German DFB Cup, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Two goals coming from BVB who dominated things as they make sure the first half was all about them doing the playing and the scoring.
Wehen had answers to every attack through at them by their opponent in the early stages of the 45 minutes which saw them putting up a strong wall of defense.
Borussia Dortmund made it count in the 26th minute of the game as Erling Haaland finished off neatly from a good counter-attack that saw the scoreline turned 0-1 in their favor.
Haaland extended the lead in the 31st minutes as he converted from the penalty spot which made the scoreline turning into 0-2 after a foul saw the referee pointing to the spot.
The first half ended with Wehen 0-2 Borussia Dortmund as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the away side who dominated things.
Second Half Report
The second half had more coming from both side as the 2nd 45 minutes looked more evenly matched than the first half which wasn’t too good for the home side.
Borussia Dortmund were the better amongst both teams as they continued to push for more goals which failed to come for them despite the attempts.
Wehen were okay defending and hoping they could see an opportunity that would see them break with an attack and maybe get something which they couldn’t as it progressed.
Erling Haaland finally made it his hattrick in the 51st minutes as he once again showed why he is the most expensive striker in the World by scoring a stunner that made the scoreline 0-3.
Nothing else could happen as the game ended with Wehen 0-3 Borussia Dortmund as the away side claimed a victory that sees them advanced into the next round of the German DFB Cup.
