FT: Barcelona 4-2 Real Sociedad, Braithwaite Bags BRACE! (Match Report And Highlight)

Martin Braithwaite scored twice as Barcelona kicked off their laliga campaign with a 4-2 victory against Real Sociedad, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Things were already done and dusted for Barca in the first half of the encounter which was all about them getting the job done going forward.

Real Sociedad were good at the beginning despite being pressured to conceding as they kept their cool and ensured everything was perfectly okay at the back.

New signing Memphis Depay made his presence known as he assisted Gerrard Pique for the opening goal in the 19th minute which saw the scoreline turned 1-0 for Barcelona.

The game carried on further with more coming from the two teams that continued to make things happen, but all were abortive as no goal was recorded.

Martin Braithwaite increased the lead to 2-0 as he scored a late one coming in the 45th minute added time as De Jong made the assist for the goal.

The first half ended with Barcelona 2-0 Real Sociedad as they both headed for the break with the advantage of going over to the home side who had more coming.

Second Half Report

Both teams turned up in the second half as they showed the quality they are made off with two goals being scored each by them.

Martin Braithwaite made the scoreline 3-0 for Barcelona in the 59th minute of the second half after he netted with his left foot to make things difficult for their opponent.

Real Sociedad continued to push for something of a consolation goal which proved difficult for them as the game entered into the last 10 minutes.

Julen Lobete scored in the 82nd minute to pull one back for his side which made things turned 3-1 after an outstanding finishing.

Mikel Oyarzabal immediately responded with another goal in the 85th minute of the game to make it 3-2 as they fight back was looking real to happen.

Unfortunately, Barca had other plans as Sergi Roberto finished off the game by teaming up with Martin Braithwaite to score which saw it turning 4-2.

The match ended with Barcelona 4-2 Real Sociedad as the laliga giant kicked off the 2021/2022 campaign with a victory despite Lionel Messi being absent from the club.
