Man United once again put up another disappointing display as they drew 2-2 against newly promoted Premier League side Brentford, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The Red Devils had it though against the newly promoted Premier League side who made sure it wasn’t an easy cruise despite them bossing the 45 minutes.
It took Man United 12 minutes to score the opening goal of the encounter as Anthony Elanga made it 1-0 with a clever finish after Jesse Lingard almost got the opener from an early strike.
The game opened up a little for the away side who pushed forward ensuring they could stage an instant comeback which proved very difficult to come by as it progresses.
Baptists scored the leveler for Brentford in the 20th minute, which came from a good run of play as the player made sure he made no mistake in converting and making the scoreline 1-1.
Nothing could separate them as the game progressed and came to an end in the first half with Man United 1-1 Brentford as they both headed for the break with a draw scoreline.
Second Half Report
It was a lot better for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the second half which was the game favoring them more as they didn’t make second-half early substitutions.
Brentford continued holding it down as they ensure they did everything to make sure the Red Devils couldn’t get past them in the early stages of the second 45 minutes.
Man United finally took the lead through an amazing finishing from Andreas Pereira as the scoreline turned 2-1 in a favor of the Old Trafford club after another excellent attack.
The game carried on with both sides showing quality until Bryan Mbeumo leveled things for his side which saw the game going into a 2-2 tie as the opportunities kept on coming.
The encounter went on with nothing to talk about as it ended with Man United 2-2 Brentford which sees Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side once again with another poor preseason performance.
