The 2020-21 English Premier League Player Of The Year Award Nominees have now been officially announced, MySportDab reports.
Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Ruben Dias are one of the eight player nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season Award.
De Bruyne and defender Dias played a key role in Pep Guardiola’s title-winning triumph this season.
Despite his goal scoring heroics in January, there is no space for Ilkay Gundogan on the shortlist.
Tottenham Striker Harry Kane,Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Chelsea Star Mason Mount have also been listed on the list.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Tomas Soucek are also on the nominees list.
Fans can vote for their player of the season via a vote section on the Premier League website, and the award winner will be announced this summer.
Since Manchester City defender Ruben Dias arrived in the Premier League, he has forged a strong partnership with City team-mate John Stones in defence for Pep Guardiola.
England Star Man Kane ended the season as the league’s top goalscorer and with the most assists to his name.
Kane scored 23 goals and provided 14 assists for Tottenham this season.
However, Tottenham finished the season in seventh place this season which could affect his chances of winning the award.
Chelsea midfielder Mount finished the season with six goals after another brilliant season at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool winger Salah ended up second in the goalscorers chart to Tottenham’s Kane on 22 goals for the season.
Manchester United playmaker Fernandes was key to their 2nd place finish in the Premier League with 18 goals and 11 assists.
Thomas Soucek and Grealish were key for their clubs this seasons at West Ham and Aston Villa respectively.
