Nigeria Drop AGAIN As FIFA Unveils New Ranking September 2023

The Super Eagles of Nigeria drop in FIFA ranking released for September as Argentina maintain number one, MySportDab reports.

The new ranking was made available after the set of international games which took place during the month of September.

Friendly games and qualifications match took place which saw some changes in the FIFA ranking which hit the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Morocco and Senegal remain the highest ranked African team who earned their way up after a successful outing at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Morocco made it through into the third place match which they unfortunately lost against last finalist Croatia.

Their performance saw them setting a new record which placed them high in the FIFA ranking.

The new list made available today sees Morocco now occupy the 13th position which see them add more points.

Meanwhile for Senegal they keep doing well as the AFCON title holders who also did have a decent outing at the FIFA World Cup.

They did drop a bit but occupy the 20th position for the month of September with them playing qualifications match.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria occupy the 40th position on the ranking while Algeria are on the 34th with Egypt making it under them as 35th.

Cameroon are the 41th position which makes the top five in Africa contain Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria.
